Were so so excited that our friend Kristine is going to be doing a live on-line cooking class on Friday, April 10th at 10 am (HST)/ 1 pm (PST). You can find more information about the event here.
The proceeds for this event will be going to our friend Jen from Destination events who was majorly affected by sever flooding at the end of March:
“In the early morning hours of March 28, 2020 Kauai received heavy rainfall that caused fallen trees and other debris to stockpile against the Wailua Bridge. This created a natural dam that made the water overflow into nearby neighborhoods.
The owner of Destination Events Hawaii (our favorite catering company) had 3 vehicles washed away in the flash flood along with 4’ of water running through the lower portion of her home which destroyed her home office, bedroom, laundry room, garage, storage and countless belongings. She was also injured while escaping to safety and trying to save important items: cracked ribs and a broken toe – yikes! She is on the mend but during this financial hardship of Covid-19 for event vendors, this was a huge additional devastation.”
I know times are tough for everyone but if you are safe, warm and fed you have a lot to be grateful for. We really hope to help our friend can back on her feet.
