First off, we're so excited you have chosen Kauai for your wedding! It is such a special place! We typically start the planning process by receiving an on-line inquiry. Once we receive an inquiry, we will send over a proposal for you to review. If you are happy with the proposal you are able to easily accept it online and move forward with your ceremony date! You can also use our online booking system to set up a call with Jessica (who typically handles inquiries) or Hailey if you have any questions at all!

We have a $1000 non-refundable deposit to secure your wedding date with us. Your deposit is used to secure our services and the vendors for your wedding.

With your ceremony confirmation, we would be sending over a link to our vendor portal where you will be able to pick and choose the vendors for your wedding day. All of the vendors have profiles where you can view bios, instagrams, websites, and galleries of their work to select a style that works best for you! This is something that is exclusive to our company and we have worked hard to provide you with the best possible selection of vendors on island.

The balance for your ceremony will be due 30 days prior to your wedding date. You can make payments to your balance at any time during the planning process.

Yes! Our vendors fees are included with our packages. In an effort not to increase our package prices, we do have some small additions fees to cover the prices of some vendors but the majority of vendors are fully covered.

Planning a wedding from afar can be stressful. You may not know the right vendors to hire, how to get the correct permits, the marriage license process....  We have all the connections to make sure you have an stress-free ceremony here on Kauai. We take care of all the details so you can sit back and relax. You get to enjoy the experience and rest assured we will take care of you and provide you with the most amazing wedding experience possible.

Ohhhhh this question!! We get asked about rain every single day, multiple times... Almost as much as it rains on Kauai. It is something we work with every single day. We are experts in handling the weather here and knowing how to predict where the weather is going. We always have umbrellas on hand for your and your guests in case of a sprinkle. In the case of more extreme weather, we are able to move your ceremony time/ date to accommodate more favorable conditions.

You can have up to 20 guests for a beach wedding. The total number of people on the beach for your ceremony must be under 30 people which includes all vendors in attendance. Larger weddings are becoming more difficult on the beaches so if your guest count is over 20, one of our private locations would be better suited for your  group to ensure enough parking for you and your guests.

Yes!! We have an amazing staff of coordinators to help you with your wedding day. All of our ceremonies have an on-site coordinator to make sure everything goes smoothly and you have nothing at all to worry about!

This would actually depend on the location you choose. For beach weddings we recommend either morning or sunset. For waterfall or garden locations, mid-morning to afternoon times are preferable.

Nope, couples normally get ready at their accommodations and arrive in their full wedding attire at the ceremony location.

Nope! We will make your marriage license appointment 30 days prior to your wedding date and send you all the details you will need at that time. You will only need your driver's license or a passport for this appointment.

This totally depends on the time of year you are going to be on the island and we can definitely point you in the right direction based on where you are staying and your ceremony date.

Your celebration means so much to us. While we hope every wedding unfolds exactly as planned, unexpected events can occur. This policy explains how we will support you if a natural disaster or emergency affects your wedding.

Safety Comes First

The safety of our couples, guests, vendors, and island community will always guide our decisions. This policy applies when a hurricane, flooding, wildfire, tsunami, earthquake, or related emergency prevents your ceremony from safely or legally taking place. We will follow official emergency orders, location closures, and permit restrictions when determining whether adjustments or postponement are necessary. Typical tropical showers or an unfavorable forecast do not automatically activate this policy.

Communication & Ceremony Adjustments

If an emergency affects your celebration, we will contact you as promptly as conditions allow to discuss available options. During widespread power or communication outages, responses may be delayed as we prioritize couples with the most immediate ceremony dates. When safe and practical, we will explore changes to your ceremony time, location, or arrangements.

Non-Refundable Payments

All payments collected within 30 days of your scheduled ceremony are non-refundable, including in the event of a natural disaster or emergency. At this stage, vendors have been paid and funds have been distributed to secure and prepare for your celebration. Kauai Elopements no longer holds those funds.

Fully Transferable to a New Date

While payments are non-refundable, 100% of the amount paid is transferable toward your rescheduled celebration with Kauai Elopements when a natural disaster or emergency prevents your ceremony from safely or legally taking place. We will work with you to select a mutually agreed-upon date, subject to vendor, venue, and permit availability. Your original vendors and location cannot be guaranteed, but your full payment credit will remain available toward the rescheduled celebration. If you choose to cancel rather than reschedule, the non-refundable payment terms above will apply.

Travel Arrangements

Flights, accommodations, rental cars, and other independently booked travel arrangements are separate from your Kauai Elopements package. Please contact those providers directly regarding cancellations, refunds, or date changes.

Event & Travel Insurance

We strongly encourage all couples to purchase event insurance for peace of mind. Ask your provider specifically about coverage for natural disasters, cancellation, postponement, and non-refundable wedding expenses.

We also encourage couples to consider travel insurance for flights, accommodations, and other travel expenses. Coverage, exclusions, and purchase deadlines vary, so please review your policy carefully. Insurance does not guarantee reimbursement.
