Kahu Chuck

Officiant

Kahu Chuck was born and raised in Hawai’i. He’s very proud of his heritage, especially as a Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian). Kahu Chuck is duly ordained by the American Marriage Ministries, and licensed by the State of Hawaii. He performs ceremonies throughout Kaua’i. He says “it’s one of the best parts of my day, Blessing two people in Holy matrimony”.

Kahu Chuck has been composer/musician for his entire adult life. He’s written numerous contemporary Hawaiian songs as well as Christian songs. Some of his most well known compositions were recorded by the late IZ Kamakawiwo’ole. He continues to compose music today in his native Hawaiian Language. His current writing projects include the Worldwide Voyage of the double hull Hawaiian Canoe “Hokule’a” and the message of “Malama Honua”

Kahu Chuck enjoys meeting people and appreciates that they picked Kaua’i for their special occasion. Most recently he’s been a busy part of an outreach ministry being invited to speak in local Churches on Sundays. When not busy doing ministry work Kahu Chuck and his wife of 25 years operate a tropical fruit & flower export business. They also serve on boards and share their financial resources with many Non-profits on Kaua’i.

The Salvation Army, Vocational Rehab for the disabled, Child and Family Service, Hale Ho’omalu-Nana’s House Community Centers, the Kaua’i Museum, the Koke’e Museum (Hui O Laka), the Royal order of Kamehameha, and the Daughters of Hawai’i. You might also find Kahu Chuck, his wife and daughters serving meals at the local Soup kitchen, or ringing Red kettle bells during the holidays etc. They believe caring for local residents especially our struggling Families and our Kupuna (Elderly) is what “Aloha kekahi i kekahi” truly means.
